Infidelity recovery resources

In addition to finding a therapist that specializes in working with betrayal trauma and infidelity, here are other resources:

INFIDELITY support groups:

Betrayed partners can find support in peer facilitated groups through the Beyond Affairs Network (which have other resources for the participating partner also). You can contact to join via this google group or on their Meetup site. Participants here are in different processes (with or without their partner, all genders, ages, etc). I believe they meet twice a month on Saturday mornings (EST). The facilitator is in the GTA, but the virtual meetings are open internationally.

The second group is for women only in the Greater Toronto Area. It's The Women's Infidelity Separation and Divorce Support Group, found on Meetup, and facilitated by a woman who has been through her own process of recovery.

After the Affair

Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends (which, despite its title, you can also read with your partner to rebuild a new relationship together).

Please also see AffairyTales for an ebook series I am developing that covers aspects of loss, trauma, grief, coping with emotions and recovery. There are short blog articles that you may find useful on my site Emotional ICU.
